Poetry & Prose: Offerings
First Read & Sensitivity A writer’s first reader should be someone who loves language as much as they respect it. This service offers a close, honest read of your work — attending to voice, image, emotional register, and the subtle places where a piece is almost doing what it wants to do. Ideal for writers preparing to submit, beginning a new collection, or simply needing a thoughtful outside perspective before the work goes further.
Line Editing For writers whose work is structurally sound but ready for a finer lens. Line editing attends to the music of the sentence, the precision of word choice, the movement between images, and the places where language can be sharpened without losing the writer’s voice. This is close, careful work done in service of what you are already making.
Developmental Editing For manuscripts at an earlier stage, developmental editing looks at the larger architecture — the arc of a collection, the relationship between poems or sections, the question of what the work is doing as a whole. This is the conversation a manuscript needs before the line-level work begins.
Manuscript Tiers
Small Packet — up to 10 pages
Chapbook — up to 38 pages
Full Manuscript — up to 100 pages
Each tier is available for first read, line editing, or developmental editing. Rates are determined by scope and are offered at a level fair to both the work and the writer. Turnaround is approximately two weeks for small packets and chapbooks, and four weeks for full manuscripts. Rates are available upon inquiry.

Publishing is, among other things, a business — and understanding it as such is an advantage few writers are taught to cultivate. With a background in business and finance, Nadia brings to this work a practical fluency in negotiation, contracts, and the economics of the literary marketplace.
